Welcome to FooterMonitor, a service operated by MOTEZE SOFTWARE, LLC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FooterMonitor website at footermonitor.com and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
1. Service Description
FooterMonitor is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that provides automated backlink monitoring. The Service allows you to:
- Monitor the presence and status of your footer links and backlinks on third-party websites.
- Receive notifications via email, in-app alerts, and Telegram when monitored links change status.
- View historical analytics and reports of link check results.
- Organize monitored links into categories and packages.
The Service checks third-party websites on your behalf to verify the presence of your specified links. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party websites.
2. Account Registration
- You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- One person or entity may not maintain more than one account without prior approval.
3. Subscription Plans and Billing
3.1 Plans and Pricing
The Service offers various subscription plans with different feature levels and monitor limits. Current plans and pricing are displayed on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time, with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.
3.2 Billing Periods
Subscriptions are available on monthly and yearly billing cycles. Yearly plans may include a discount compared to monthly billing. Your subscription begins on the date of your first payment and renews automatically at the end of each billing period.
3.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed through our authorized third-party payment processors:
- Stripe — Credit/debit card payments and recurring subscriptions.
- Paddle — Alternative payment processing with global support.
- PayTR — Payment processing for local payment methods.
By providing payment information, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge the applicable fees for your selected plan. You agree to keep your payment information current and accurate.
3.4 Auto-Renewal
Recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current rate for your plan at each renewal. We may send renewal reminders, but it is your responsibility to manage your subscription.
3.5 Upgrades and Downgrades
You may upgrade your plan at any time. Upgrade costs may be prorated based on the remaining time in your current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period; you will retain access to your current plan features until then.

5. Acceptable Use
Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, abusive, or unauthorized purpose.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Property
The Service, including its design, source code, logos, trademarks, and all related content, is the exclusive property of MOTEZE SOFTWARE, LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our prior written consent.
6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of any data, URLs, or other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service and target 99.9% uptime. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible).
- Emergency maintenance or security patches.
- Factors beyond our control (e.g., third-party service outages, force majeure events).
We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions or downtime.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the Service will detect all changes to monitored links or that monitoring results will be 100% accurate.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MOTEZE SOFTWARE, LLC (operating as FooterMonitor), its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
- By You: You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
- By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or if your account poses a security risk. In cases of material breach, termination may be immediate without prior notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use and cancel your subscription.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which MOTEZE SOFTWARE, LLC operates.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MOTEZE SOFTWARE, LLC regarding the Service.
